Two Terror Suspects Busted at Dover Port
A man and woman have been arrested at Dover port on suspicion of terrorism offences linked to Syria.
Man and Woman Held on Terror Charges
On Saturday 7 December, police detained a 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman. The man faces allegations of preparing terrorism acts and funding or supporting terrorism. The woman is suspected of preparing to commit terrorism offences.
West Midlands Counter Terror Team Lead Arrests
Detectives from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit carried out the intelligence-led arrests. Both suspects are now being questioned at a West Midlands police station. Authorities stress there was no danger to the public during the operation.
No Link to London Bridge Attack
Officials confirmed these arrests are not connected to the London Bridge terror attack on 29 November. Investigations into the Dover suspects began weeks before that tragic event.
