Dorset Police rushed to Exeter Crescent at 9.53pm on Monday, 6 March 2023, after reports of a vile homophobic assault.

Victim Pushed to Floor, Suffers Eye Injury

A man hurled homophobic abuse at two men before violently pushing one to the ground. The victim sustained an eye injury, thankfully not serious.

Police Hunt Suspect with CCTV and Witness Appeals

Officers scoured the scene and reviewed CCTV footage as part of their investigation.

Police Constable Jack Cornick said: “Dorset Police does not tolerate hate crime and an investigation is underway to identify the person responsible. I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please contact us. Also, I am appealing for anyone with any information about the identity of the offender to please come forward.”
