Cop Accused of Shocking Crimes Appears in Court
PC Isaque Rodrigues-Leite, from the Roads and Transport Policing Command, faced Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 27 January. He pleaded not guilty to a string of serious charges.
Serious Charges Laid
- Six counts of false imprisonment
- Two counts of threats to kill
- Two counts of actual bodily harm (ABH)
- One count of coercive and controlling behaviour causing fear of violence
- One count of criminal damage
The charges stem from a probe by the South Area BCU. PC Rodrigues-Leite has been suspended from duty while the case unfolds.
Next Steps and Support for Victim
The officer was granted bail and is set to return to Croydon Crown Court on Monday, 14 November. Specialist officers are actively supporting the victim and will continue to do so throughout the court proceedings and beyond.
