Pedestrian Hit by Pavement Cyclist in Ilkeston Road Clash
A 50-year-old man was knocked down by a cyclist riding on the pavement outside a shop on Ilkeston Road, Lenton.
The accident took place at around 5.45pm on 4 March 2023, leaving the man with minor injuries.
Police Launch Hunt for Cyclist Witness
Nottinghamshire Police have launched an investigation and released images of a man they want to speak to over the collision.
Sergeant Mark Southgate said: “It’s illegal for anyone to ride a bike on the pavement precisely because of incidents like this.”
“While the victim only suffered minor injuries on this occasion, this should serve as a warning to any cyclist about what could happen.”
“We believe the man in these pictures could have information to assist our investigation, so we’d ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”
