A man has been charged with drug offences after being arrested in Gillingham near the town’s train station
Kent Police officers made the arrest at around 11am on Wednesday 26 October 2022 after stopping him for a search. [block_2] He was bailed with conditions and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday 24 November.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire in a derelict building in Ash, Canterbury
Five fire engines and a height vehicle attended the incident, and crews fought the fire using main jets, hose reel jets, and water from hydrants. Kent Police also attended. There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known
