Fire Breaks Out at Enfield Block of Flats, Balcony Damaged in Blaze

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a blaze at a block of flats on Exeter Road, Enfield, on Thursday morning (6 February).

Seventh-Floor Flat Severely Damaged

The fire, which broke out in a three-roomed flat on the seventh floor of a 13-storey building, caused significant damage to the property. The flat’s balcony was destroyed, and flames also spread to the balcony of the neighbouring flat.

Emergency Response

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was alerted at 11:02 AM, with crews from Enfield, Chingford, and Edmonton fire stations rushing to the scene. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze, bringing it under control by 12:00 PM.

Cause Under Investigation

Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire, but no further details have been released.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said:

“Firefighters worked swiftly to bring the fire under control and prevent further damage to the building. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.”
