Greater Manchester Police have launched a fresh appeal with a £50,000 reward to solve the mystery surrounding Baby Ava. It’s been a year since the heart-breaking discovery of the infant’s body in Ashtons Field, Little Hulton on 20 November 2024.

The substantial reward aims to unearth the identity of Baby Ava and uncover how she came to be abandoned. The pot, funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, will be paid for information leading to answers in this tragic case.
Lead Investigator Pleads for Witnesses to Step Forward
Detective Inspector Louise Kelly from GMP’s Major Incident Team spoke out, “Since Ava was found a year ago, we’ve worked tirelessly to understand the circumstances around her death and get justice for her.”
“Last month, we revealed a unique clue – a piece of ladies’ size large underwear with cartoon donkeys was found with her. Despite this distinctive item, no new leads have come forward.”
