West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 9.10pm to Birmingham Road in #Blakedown and sent three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, a Mercia Accident Rescue Service responder (MARS) and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Cosford to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “On arrival, crews found the driver of the first car, a man, in a critical condition.
“The driver of the second car, a man, was treated by medics for serious injuries and was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with MERIT travelling on board to continue treatment en route.

“A third patient, a woman, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital.

“A second woman was assessed and taken to the same hospital for further checks.”
