An
18-year-old man has been arrested after a man was allegedly attacked by a group outside
Beckenham Junction station, prompting a
police response that led to the recovery of a
silver handgun.
He was taken into custody and remains under police questioning.
Ongoing Investigation
A spokesperson for the
Metropolitan Police said:
“Police were called at 19:32hrs on Tuesday, 15 April to reports of a group fighting outside Beckenham station. Officers attended, where a small group of men had allegedly attacked another man.
A silver handgun was retrieved, and an 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of Class B drugs. He remains in custody for questioning.”
The
Metropolitan Police are now working alongside the
British Transport Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="191805">British Transport Police (BTP) to investigate the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the fight or has information to come forward.
