Teen Arrested After Beckenham Station Brawl Ends with Gun Seizure

18-Year-Old Nabbed After Violent Fight Outside Station

An 18-year-old man has been arrested following a violent altercation involving a group outside Beckenham Junction station. Police swooped in just after 7:30pm on Tuesday, 15 April after reports of a fight near the station entrance.

Officers found a small gang allegedly assaulting another man. During a search of the scene, they recovered a silver handgun. The teenager was arrested on suspicion of firearm possession and possession of Class B drugs, believed to be cannabis.

“Police were called at 19:32hrs on Tuesday, 15 April to reports of a group fighting outside Beckenham station. Officers attended, where a small group of men had allegedly attacked another man. A silver handgun was retrieved, and an 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of Class B drugs. He remains in custody for questioning.” – Metropolitan Police spokesperson

The Metropolitan Police are working closely with the British Transport Police (BTP) as investigations continue.
