Breaking: Cowes Man Sami Benning Found Dead in Prison on the Morning he was due to be released
A man has died in his prison cell just hours before he was due to release we can reveal Sami Benning (aka Samuel Groves) from Cowes on the Isle of Wight was found dead in his Prison cell on Monday by Prison Staff at HM Prison Guys Marsh in Shaftesbury. It is understood that the man was due to released from the establishment that morning and return to the Isle of Wight. A spokesman for the Police said: “We can confirm that a body was found on Morning morning. “It was a man in his cell. He died overnight and was found this morning in his cell.” A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out later this afternoon by a Home Office pathologist. A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice said his death in custody would be investigated by the Prison Service Ombudsman. More to Follow
