A major fire broke out at a care home in Central Parade, Herne Bay this morning, prompting a large-scale emergency response.

The fire, which started on the second floor and spread to the roof space, was tackled by eight fire engines and two height vehicles from Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS).
A height vehicle was deployed to access the roof space, preventing further spread.

Cause of Fire Unknown

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and investigations are expected to continue once the site is deemed safe.
