A man’s untimely demise at the Park Plaza Hotel in Western Avenue W3 sparked a chemical scare, necessitating medical evaluation for six police officers who came into contact with a substance found at the scene.
Authorities were summoned to the hotel premises at 12:34pm on Saturday 11th May 2024 following the discovery of the deceased individual. While the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are being treated as unexplained, there are no initial suspicions of foul play. Police have identified the deceased and are currently working to notify the next of kin.
The incident has led to heightened vigilance among authorities, with investigations ongoing to determine the nature of the substance and any potential risks it may pose. The hotel remains accessible to guests, albeit under heightened police scrutiny as inquiries into the incident continue.

A Spokesman for the Met Police said:
Police were called at 12:34hrs to a hotel in Western Avenue W3 after a man was found deceased.
The death is being treated as unexpected but is not thought to be suspicious.
Police know who the deceased is and are working to inform next of kin.
An item found in the room some officers were checked over by LAS as a precaution. They were all found to be fit and well.
