Detectives are wanting to speak to this man after shopkeeper is stabbed in Pinner

Detectives investigating the murder of a shopkeeper in Pinner are releasing a photo of a potential witness they are keen to trace. Police were called at around 06:00hrs on Sunday, 24 March to reports of a man – later named as 54-year-old Ravi Katharkamar – suffering stab injuries in Marsh Road, Pinner. Emergency services attended the incident but sadly Mr Katharkamar died at the scene. Officers are now releasing an image of a man they believe may have been in the area at the time who could help provide further information. The man, who was wearing a bright yellow jacket at the time, is not being treated as a suspect. It is believed he was running from West End Avenue and travelling in the direction of Eastcote Road at around 05:55hrs. Detective Sergeant Alastair Watson, from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “This man is not being treated as a suspect but we believe he may have information that could help us with our investigation. “We would urge him or anyone who can identify him to come forward and speak to us on 0208 358 0200.
