Detectives investigating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell on 22 February 2023 have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the subsequent claim of responsibility

The man was arrested in accordance with Section 41 of the Terrorism Act of 2000. He was apprehended yesterday, Saturday, March 18, following a search of a property in Derry/Londonderry. He was arrested and taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
