Matthew Trickett, a 37-year-old former Royal Marine, was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances in Grenfell Park, Maidenhead. Trickett had been accused of collaborating with the Hong Kong intelligence service, allegedly engaging in information gathering, surveillance, and deceptive activities on their behalf.

According to a statement from Thames Valley Police, officers responded to a report from a member of the public around 5.15pm on Sunday. Upon arriving at the scene, they found Trickett and immediately began emergency treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the park.
