Police have launched an investigation after human remains were discovered at a residential property on Egmont Road, Sutton, on Wednesday, 11 December.
Officers were called to the address following the discovery, and a crime scene has been established. Specialist officers from the South Area Command Unit are leading the inquiry to identify the remains and determine the circumstances surrounding their discovery.

A police spokesperson stated:
“An investigation is underway, and specialist teams remain at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the remains and the events leading up to this incident.”
The area remains cordoned off as police continue their work. Residents have been advised that officers will remain in the vicinity to conduct thorough investigations.
