A major fire broke out in the early hours of this morning at the New Pembury Hotel on Seven Sisters Road, Hackney, prompting a large-scale emergency response and causing significant disruption to local transport services.
The London Fire Brigade was called to the scene at approximately 1am deploying a number of fire engines, a turntable ladder (TL), and multiple crews to tackle the blaze.
Reports indicate that persons were believed to be inside the building when the fire broke out, though the extent of any injuries or rescues has yet to be confirmed.
