South Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of an 82-year-old man’s body in the River Don, Mexborough, Doncaster, earlier today. Authorities were alerted to the situation at 7:36 AM, and the elderly man was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Merseyside Police" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-monitor-id="40948">ambulance services.
The investigation took a serious turn as police detained two men, aged 30 and 32, on suspicions of murder. Both suspects are currently being held in custody as the investigation progresses.
