A murder investigation has been launched after a woman in her 40s was found dead inside a home in a seaside town in Clacton, Essex, earlier today.
Emergency services were called to a property on Skelmersdale Road at 11:30am following reports of a serious incident. Paramedics arrived at the scene within minutes, but despite their best efforts, the woman was tragically pronounced dead.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Essex Police on 101, quoting incident number 390 of March 21. Alternatively, information can be submitted anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A cordon remains in place at the property as forensic teams carry out detailed investigations.
