Essex Police have discovered a laptop believed to belong to missing woman Vitoria Barreto in Brightlingsea. Her family has been informed and continues to receive support.
Family Joins Police for Key Boat Journey
On Mother’s Day, Sunday 15 March, the Marine Unit took Vitoria’s loved ones on the same boat trip she is believed to have taken in the early hours of 4 March. The search is intensifying around the Brightlingsea, Bradwell, and Dengie areas.
Focus on the Boat and the Missing Buoy
Police are investigating whether Vitoria unmoored a boat from a Brightlingsea pontoon on 4 March. After her bag was found near Copperas Road on 9 March, searches zoomed in on this area. The boat itself was found adrift near Bradwell-on-Sea, reportedly missing a horseshoe-shaped buoyancy aid.

Community Effort to Find Vitoria
Vitoria’s family has called on the Brazilian community in Essex to display Brazilian flags. They hope this will catch Vitoria’s eye and create a safe, welcoming space for her to come forward.
Police urge the public to keep an eye out for Vitoria and report any sightings or CCTV details immediately by calling 999.
