Happy Valley Returns for Final Season with Sarah Lancashire’s Last Turn as Catherine Cawood
The beloved crime drama Happy Valley is back for a thrilling six-part final series. Sarah Lancashire reprises her iconic role as Sergeant Catherine Cawood, delivering what promises to be her last hurrah in the gritty Yorkshire drama.
Fan-Favourite Faces and Exciting New Cast Join the Lineup
Joining Sarah Lancashire are familiar Happy Valley stars Ishia Bennison (Joyce), Shane Zaza (Shaf), Chord Melodic (Sledge), and Mete Dursun (Gorkem). They team up with a strong supporting cast, including Con O’Neill, George Costigan, Charlie Murphy, Derek Riddell, and many more.
Newcomers Oliver Huntingdon (The Rising), Jack Bandeira (Sex Education), Alec Secareanu (God’s Own Country), and Anthony Flanagan (Gentleman Jack) also join the intense drama in series three.
Dark Discoveries and Family Drama Ignite the Final Series
The plot kicks off when Catherine finds the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained reservoir. This grim discovery drags her back face-to-face with Tommy Lee Royce, the villainous figure from her past.
Catherine’s grandson Ryan, now 16 and living with her, grapples with complicated feelings about Royce, who Catherine refuses to recognise as Ryan’s father. Meanwhile, the ever-present drug problem in the Valley continues to challenge Catherine, who is on the verge of retirement.
