Police appeal following fatal collision in Enfield

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision in Enfield. Officers were called at approximately 19:00hrs on Friday, 6 April to reports of a moped in collision with a tree in Lea Valley Road, Enfield. London Ambulance Service attended and the rider of the moped, a man believed aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course. The collision occurred at the moped travelled westbound on Lea Valley Road. At this early stage it is not thought that any other vehicles were involved. An investigation into the circumstances is underway by officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command based at Chadwell Heath.
