Police carry out overnight Drugs Raid at Ryde Property

Police have carried out a preplanned drug’s raid at a property in Ryde on the Isle of Wight in the early hours of this morning (Monday 11th June 2018) we can reveal Officers in protective gear forced entry into the two storey multi occupancy property in Marymead Close in Ryde under the cover of darkness. Approx ten officers were involved in the raid of the flat. A number of police officers carried out searches within the property and spent a lot of time in the kitchen area. It is understood that officers have seized a quantity of drugs. Officers also found various drugs paraphernalia. The Drugs Act warrant was executed by officers after concerns were raised by local residents in the area regarding suspected drugs offences. A Police source said: “The warrant came about following a significant amount of intelligence from the community regarding suspected drug use and supply.” He confirmed the items seized from the property would be sent off for analysis
