Emergency Services Respond to Incident in Teams Area

A police investigation is underway after a man was found with serious injuries on Morris Street in the Teams area of Gateshead on Saturday afternoon (March 9, 2025).

Emergency Services at the Scene

  • Police and ambulance crews were called to the area shortly after 3:45 pm following reports of concern for a man.
  • The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment, but his condition remains unknown.

Police Cordon in Place

  • Officers have also cordoned off an area on Derwentwater Road, which is believed to be linked to the incident.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said:

“Shortly after 3:45 pm today (Saturday), we received a report of concern for a man with serious injuries on Morris Street in the Teams area of Gateshead. Emergency services are currently in attendance.
The man has been taken to hospital for treatment. Officers have also cordoned off an area of Derwentwater Road which is believed to be linked to the report.”
