Shock Murder at HMP Frankland: Ian Huntley Dead
A chilling attack inside HMP Frankland has left convicted killer Ian Huntley dead. Police have charged a fellow inmate with murder following the brutal assault.
Attack in Prison Workshop
Durham Constabulary revealed that emergency services rushed to reports of a violent incident in the prison workshop on the morning of Thursday, February 26. Ian Huntley, 52, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
Despite urgent medical care, Huntley succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, March 7.
Fellow Inmate Charged
Anthony Russell, 43, also housed at HMP Frankland, has been formally charged with murder. He is set to appear via video link at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 11.
