30 Arrests and Half a Million in Cash Seized in Major Haringey Drug Bust
Police Crackdown Hits Haringey Drug Trade
In a massive early-morning swoop, police arrested 30 suspects—27 men and 3 women aged 18 to 65—across Haringey. The raids, conducted on July 15 and July 29, targeted key drug hotspots in Seven Sisters and Wood Green.
Eight-Month Undercover Sting Yields Big Results
These arrests are the climax of Operation Oarfish, running undercover for eight months targeting Class A and B drug suppliers. Officers linked the crackdown to rising gang tensions and violent crime surged by drug dealing.

“Drug dealing fuels violent crime and community fear. Our long-term undercover work helped expose these issues,” said Detective Sergeant Matthew Dumpleton of the Met’s North Area Command Proactive Unit.
He added: “We won’t tolerate drug dealers. We’re committed to getting them off our streets. If you know anything about drug crime in your area, contact us—your tip could make all the difference.”
