Three arrested in Southampton pub murder probe
Detectives from Hampshire police Major Crime team are investigating after a man died today, Sunday, April 21, following an attack in a Southampton pub. The man was assaulted in the Bittern pub in Thornhill Park Road, Southampton, at around 9.50pm, Friday April 19. The 52-year-old was taken to Southampton General Hospital suffering from serious head injuries and sadly died this morning. Two men, aged 27 and 39, have been arrested in connection with the incident. Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident who hasn’t yet spoken to police or has any information about what happened to call 101 quoting Operation Bonham. Officers would also like to hear from anyone who has footage from their mobile phones of the assault. Detective Inspector Lee Macarthur from the Major Crime team said: “We want to hear from you if you were in the Bittern Public House, Thornhill, Southampton on the evening of Friday, April 19?
