Nottinghamshire Police are investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Costock Avenue, Sherwood, earlier this evening.
Chief Inspector Jon Scurr expressed his condolences: “This is a tragic and devastating loss of life, and our thoughts are with the boy’s family and loved ones. I would like to thank those who have already come forward with information and urge anyone else with details to contact us as soon as possible.

He acknowledged the emotional impact of the incident on the community, adding, “We are acutely aware that incidents of this nature are incredibly distressing for all concerned and are felt by the entire community. Anyone who has information about the incident or may have dashcam footage is urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police by calling 101 and quoting incident 671 of 18 September 2024.
