Gateshead Paedophile Caught After Police Raid Uncovers Shocking Images
Secret Investigation Unravels Horrific Crimes
Police swooped on 30-year-old Adam Ward after the National Crime Agency tipped them off about his disturbing activities. Acting fast, Northumbria Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team raided his Gateshead home in October 2020, seizing multiple electronic devices.
Chilling Evidence Leads to Arrest
Officers uncovered a horrific collection of indecent images of children stored on Ward’s gadgets. Following a thorough probe, Ward was arrested and slammed with charges including sexual assault on a child, voyeurism, making and possessing indecent images, and possession of extreme images.
Ward Sentenced to More Than Four Years Behind Bars
Ward pled guilty to all offences at Newcastle Crown Court. Today, he was handed a harsh sentence of four years and four months in prison, plus an extended licence of five years and eight months. The court made it clear there’s zero tolerance for such vile crimes.
Police Send Strong Warning to Offenders
“Ward’s actions are despicable, but we have been able to strike and secure the evidence needed to secure a conviction,” said Northumbria Police.
“Thanks to the families involved for their resilience and patience throughout this investigation. We want potential offenders to know we’re watching – the next knock could be from us.”
“If you have any info or think you’re a victim, come forward. You will be heard and supported, and we’ll fight to bring offenders to justice.”
