A man has been arrested today, 5 July, as part of an investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. The 19-year-old man was arrested this morning at an address in south west London on suspicion of terrorism offences under section 41 of the Terrorist Act 2000. Armed officers executed a warrant under schedule 5 of the Terrorism Act. No one was injured. The man has been taken to a London police station, where he remains in police custody. Officers are carrying out a search at the address. It is not believed there was any imminent threat to the public. Enquiries continue.
