Danny Lee, 43, known for his armed robbery at newsagents in Eltham last year, has been handed a further prison sentence for drug driving, adding to his existing convictions.
In a shocking incident on December 10 last year, Lee entered a newsagents on Shawbrooke Road, brandishing a gun and demanding money from the lone worker behind the counter. CCTV footage captured Lee pointing the firearm at the victim’s head and assaulting him with the gun’s butt, causing minor injuries. He proceeded to steal phones and cash before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

For this crime, Lee was sentenced to six years and four months in prison by a judge at Woolwich Crown Court on April 19.
However, Lee’s legal woes did not end there. On November 12 last year, he was caught driving a Subaru Levorg car on Woolacombe Road in Kidbrooke and failed to stop for a police officer. Subsequent tests revealed that Lee was unfit to drive due to drug consumption.

Appearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 10, Lee pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop for a police constable, and driving whilst unfit through drugs.
As a result, Lee was handed a further driving disqualification of 3 years and 11 months. Additionally, he was sentenced to a further 9 weeks in prison, adding to his existing term.
The judge’s decision reflects the seriousness of Lee’s actions and sends a clear message regarding the consequences of reckless behaviour on the road. Despite facing significant legal penalties, Lee has been held accountable for his actions, ensuring justice for his victims and the wider community.
