Early Sunday morning, the Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a car fire on the M20 near Folkestone, between Junction 11A and Junction 11. The incident was reported at 05:53, prompting a swift response from the fire service.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service commended the quick response and coordination of the fire crews, stating, “The prompt actions of our firefighters ensured that the fire was swiftly extinguished, preventing any further risk to motorists and ensuring the safety of the area.

Motorists in the vicinity experienced temporary disruptions as the emergency services attended to the fire. Authorities have urged drivers to remain cautious and follow traffic advisories when encountering emergency response activities on the motorway.
