Unprovoked Attacks at Marble Arch and Lancaster Gate
Detectives have released images of a suspect after two women were slapped in separate but shocking attacks just 10 minutes apart on the Central Line.
The first victim was at Marble Arch station around 3pm on Tuesday, 11 November. As she came down the escalator near platform one, a man suddenly slapped her across the face and shouted at her before jumping on a train and speeding off.
Second Victim Attacked With Family Present
Just 10 minutes later, at Lancaster Gate station, another woman faced the same fate — slapped hard across the face while travelling on a train with her family, including her children. The attacker shouted at her before fleeing the scene.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Both victims are receiving support from officers, who have already spoken to witnesses at the scenes. Police urge anyone with information or who recognises the man in the released images to come forward immediately.
