Firefighters Battle Fierce Flames as Air Ambulance Touches Down
A dramatic showdown unfolded with ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters swarming the burning shop. Flames still rage on the ground floor, first floor, and roof, with serious damage including a partially collapsed internal staircase and roof destruction.
An air ambulance landed nearby while crews fought the stubborn blaze, bringing this usually quiet high street to a grinding halt.
Thankfully, one woman and a child managed to escape before firefighters arrived. Both were rushed to hospital in London Ambulance Service vehicles.

The London Fire Brigade received the first call at 11:35am, quickly deploying teams from Walthamstow, Chingford, Tottenham, and surrounding stations.
