Mayhem broke out at Biddulph High School near Staffordshire just before 11am today. A hazardous chemical spill saw emergency crews swarm the site, with three teens and two adults rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for checks. A sixth person was treated on-site and released.
Emergency Services Act Fast to Contain Spill
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue isolated the chemical quickly and ventilated the building to clear dangerous fumes. A fire spokesperson said:
“Two paramedic officers, an ambulance, and specialist paramedics responded. Six patients were assessed after exposure. The chemical was isolated and ventilation measures put in place.”
School Calms Fears as Police Probe Incident
Worried parents were reassured by Biddulph High’s Facebook update confirming all emergency procedures were followed. Staffordshire Police remain at the scene investigating the cause of the spill while safety checks continue.
