Lifeboat And Coastguard Called To Speedboat Fire in Lee on the Solent
Gosport and Fareham Independent Lifeboat and the Coastguard Rescue team from Hill Head were called to a speedboat fire this afternoon. Rescue crews raced to the aid of the 14 foot speedboat just before 2pm. The incident involved a small 1 in the engine compartment of the vessel. It is believed that the engine caught 1 due to a fuel leak. The Lifeboat was sent to attend in case Coastguard rescue crews could not reach the speedboat, as they have 1 equipment on board. The boat was recovered back onto the slipway. No one is thought to have been hurt in the incident
