Frederick Allard, a 73-year-old man from Tidworth, has been found guilty of sexual assault and causing/inciting prostitution following a trial at Winchester Crown Court.
The offences, which occurred between February 2019 and January 2023, involved Allard exploiting his position as a landlord to target vulnerable women.
Allard, residing on Nepaul Road, Tidworth, was remanded in custody following the verdict and is scheduled to be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on June 21.
Complex Crime Investigator Elly Moxom shed light on the case, stating, “The victims in this case contacted Wiltshire Police after encountering Tidworth landlord Frederick Allard. Upon inquiring about rooms for rent within Mr. Allard’s property, they were subjected to sexual assault and grossly inappropriate and offensive behavior, including solicitation of sex acts in exchange for reduced rent.
Moxom emphasized the significant impact Allard’s actions had on the female victims, commending their bravery and resilience throughout the investigation and trial.
Wiltshire Police sends a strong message to those who harm women and girls,” Moxom continued. We will show zero tolerance to crimes like those committed by Mr. Allard, who sought to exploit perceived vulnerabilities in his victims for sexual gratification.
The police encourage anyone who believes they have been a victim of a crime to contact them on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
