Man remanded after Fire Arms incident in Ventnor

A man has been remanded in custody after a short appearances before Isle of magistrate this morning following a stand off with officers in Ventnor on Wednesday evening.  50-year-old Timothy Clark faces charges of possessing a shotgun without a certificate and for possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. Clark entrrrd no plea and magistrates said that he offences were so serious they would have to be heard at the Island Crown Court. No applaication for bail was made during the ten minute appearance. Armed Police officers were called to The Burlington Hotel on Bellevue Road  and made the arrest a fire arm was also recovered from the property as previously reported. A spokesman for  Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that Timothy Clark, 50, of Bellevue Road, Ventnor has been charged with affray, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of a shotgun without a certificate. https://youtu.be/sTcfohPGf2g
