A Newcastle offender has been locked up for three and a half years after sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. The victim’s powerful testimony laid bare the lifelong damage caused by the attack.

Disturbing Details Revealed in Court

Natalie Wolf, formerly known as Ryan Haley, was sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court for sexual activity with a child. The court heard how Wolf groped the girl’s chest and attempted to touch her groin during the horrific assault.

The victim, now an adult, told the court the abuse shattered every stage of her life. “It ruined my childhood, my teenage years, and my adulthood,” she said. She feared she was going to be raped during the attack.

Offender Ordered on Sex Offenders Register for Life

Alongside the jail term, Wolf was put on the Sex Offenders Register for life and slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, banning any future contact with children.

Claims of Conspiracy and Identity Rejected

During the trial, Wolf tried to overturn the verdict by claiming a conspiracy, bizarrely alleging jurors had been “hypnotised” and raising questions about medical history and identity. The judge dismissed all these claims outright.

Victim Speaks Out, Safeguarding Groups Call for Support

After sentencing, the victim spoke out, saying that despite Wolf now living under a new identity, the trauma haunts her daily. She urged the public to grasp the severity and long-lasting effects of child sexual abuse.

Safeguarding organisations stress that victims need ongoing support, while courts remind that tough sentences are crucial to reflect the gravity of these crimes.

Wolf’s conviction closes the court case, but for the victim, the road to emotional recovery is far from over.
