The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team in Huddersfield has identified the victim of a fatal assault that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 15. The victim has been named as 23-year-old Jake Rainton from Huddersfield.
Jake tragically succumbed to head injuries sustained during an assault outside the Revolution Bar on Cross Church Street. He passed away on Sunday afternoon. The incident has now been classified as a murder investigation.
Two males, aged 24 and 26, are currently in police custody, having been arrested on suspicion of Jake’s murder. Detectives are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
