A peaceful binman, known for his quiet nature and devotion to his dog, was brutally stabbed to death in Uxbridge after intervening in a violent attack on a 14-year-old boy and his father.
Heroic Attempt Ends in Tragedy
Wayne Broadhurst, 49, a council binman and dog owner, was walking his dog near his home on Midhurst Gardens, Hillingdon, when he witnessed a man waving a knife and attacking the boy and his father. Neighbours say Wayne stepped in to protect them but was stabbed at around 5pm on Monday, right outside his house.
A spokesperson said:
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those impacted by this horrific incident. The priority must now be for the police to investigate so those responsible can be brought to justice.”
Witnesses Recall Chaotic Scene
