Reports of an attempted Child Snatch from outside Portsmouth Supermarket

A concern parent has claimed that a burka clad female has just attempted to snatch a child out side ALDI Gamble Road at about 12.25pm in Portsmouth this afternoon Monday (17th July 2017). The woman had a man in silver car waiting as the get away driver. Warning other parent Rhys Reeve added on the bottom of the post Keep ya eyes on your children !!! He also said that it was witnessed by Laura Stanley who is understood to be a shop work who was befriended by the distressed mum . Police have issued the follow: We were called at 1.30pm today (Monday 17 July) to a report of a suspicious incident that occurred outside Aldi on Gamble Road at about 12.25pm. A mother reported that whilst she and her 1 year old daughter were getting a trolley, a woman approached them and spoke to her daughter and seemed to try and beckon her. The mother challenged her and the woman left, getting into a nearby silver car which then drove off. The woman was described as Pakistani, aged in her 40s, fat or round build wearing a nose ring and a dark blue sari and head dress. Officers later spoke with the mother and enquiries are ongoing to ascertain exactly what happened. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote 44170274896.”
