Predatory Piersaverio Finizio Brought to Justice

Piersaverio Finizio, 30, from St Nicholas Road, St Pauls, has been slammed with a 12-month jail sentence for stalking four women across Bristol. The court convicted him of four counts of stalking causing serious distress at Bristol Magistrates’ Court, despite Finizio’s not guilty plea last month.

Chilling Encounters Across the City

Each victim was alone when Finizio approached them at various locations including Newfoundland Way, Bond Street, and Wade Street earlier this year. On 14 February, in the early hours, he repeatedly told one woman, “You look lonely, I want to be your valentine,” chasing her until she fled and called a taxi home.

In March, he stalked another woman on Bond Street, insisting he’d accompany her and ominously telling her, “You will be an angel soon,” alarmingly asking for her phone number multiple times.

Victims’ Courage Leads to Arrest

  • Another woman faced unwanted compliments and repeated requests for her number on Newfoundland Way before escaping his grip after he grabbed her arm.
  • Finizio continued his harassment by blocking a fourth woman’s path until she reluctantly gave her phone number—only for him to call and message her shortly after.

Thanks to the quick actions of the victims who shared Finizio’s mobile number with the police, authorities swiftly tracked him down and arrested him.

Orders to Keep Him at Bay

Alongside his prison term, Finizio has been slapped with restraining orders banning any contact with the victims for five years. A Stalking Prevention Order will monitor his behaviour once he’s released, aiming to keep Bristol’s streets safe from his cruel advances.
