Deadly Crash Shakes Old Kent Road
A 34-year-old man was fatally struck by a car on Old Kent Road just before 7am on November 21. Emergency teams raced to the scene, but despite their best efforts, the victim died at the spot.
Driver Arrested and Now Bailed
The driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Police have since released him on bail while investigations continue.

“On Friday, 21 November at 06:55hrs, police were called to the Old Kent Road, SE1, after reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. Officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics attended. Sadly, despite their efforts, the 34-year-old man died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
An investigation is underway. The driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact police on 101, quoting CAD1109/21Nov.”
