Fatal Smash Shocks Old Kent Road
A 34-year-old man was killed in a horrific crash on Old Kent Road just before 7am on November 21. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but the victim was declared dead at the spot.
Driver Bailed After Arrest
The motorist involved was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Police have now bailed the driver pending further inquiries.

“On Friday, 21 November at 06:55hrs, police were called to Old Kent Road, SE1, following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. Despite efforts by officers and paramedics, the 34-year-old man died at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
An investigation is ongoing. The driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact police on 101, quoting CAD1109/21Nov.”
