A teenager has been arrested after an attempted phone robbery on Leyton High Road this morning, prompting a swift police response.
Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at 08:04hrs on Friday, 30 May, following reports that a suspect had tried to steal a mobile phone from a member of the public in broad daylight.
The suspect, a 16-year-old boy, was quickly detained at the scene and arrested on suspicion of theft. He currently remains in police custody.
