Urgent Recall Over Undeclared Allergens
Thousands of chocolate bars have been yanked from shops across the UK after they were found to carry a potentially fatal health risk. The culprit? The Veira Dream of Angel Hair Pistachio Chocolate (165g) contains undeclared peanuts and sesame – two serious allergens.
Distributor Dimark Limited issued the recall for batches with codes 05052025 and 07042025, with best-before dates of May 5 and April 7, 2026. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) says anyone allergic to peanuts or sesame should avoid these bars and return them immediately.
Dubai-Style Chocolates Spark Danger Alarm
These bars, made from pismaniye – a Turkish candy floss-style sweet – are part of a viral confection craze following this year’s Dubai-style chocolate fad on social media. The FSA has raised the alarm over unsafe, unlabelled snacks flooding the UK market, often lacking English ingredient lists or allergen info.
You should never pay for repair or replacement of recalled items. Follow all instructions carefully to protect yourself and your family.
