Timothy Boorman, 60, from Killay near Swansea, has been slammed with a six-year jail term after being caught attempting to meet a child in north Kent. The predator had been grooming his victim online before making the 150-mile trip on 13 August 2025. Police arrested him the moment he arrived, ending his sick plans.

Guilty Plea Lands Hard Sentence

Boorman admitted guilt at Maidstone Crown Court to charges including arranging the rape of a child. On 14 November 2025, the judge jailed him for six years and slapped on an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to monitor him for life.

Police Warn: Boorman Remains a Serious Threat

“Boorman is a danger to children and was prepared to travel a considerable distance to commit appalling offences. He was intercepted by our patrols and brought to justice swiftly,” warned PC Aimee Edwards.

“When released, he will face strict court orders and regular unannounced police visits to keep the public safe.”
