Two people treated for smoke inhalation

According to emergency services, two occupants of the property required medical treatment for smoke inhalation at the scene. No serious injuries were reported.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service responded alongside firefighters to provide immediate care.

Investigation underway

At this stage, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and fire investigators are expected to carry out a full assessment later today.

Statement from Kent Fire and Rescue Service:

We were called to reports of a house fire in Millmead Road, Margate, at 2.30am on Friday. Crews used hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control. The fire is now fully extinguished, and an investigation into the cause is ongoing.”
